PRIVATE VILLA AZ
Architectural Solution: Arch. Alberto Zanini
Location: Bassano del Grappa - Vicenza - Italy
Description: Private residence in the splendid setting of the hills just outside Florence.
Interior floors and walls, bathrooms, kitchen tops and tables, fireplaces and furniture made of Bianco Avorio in various finishes.
Very complex intervention in the agricultural area, it represents one of the studio's most successful urban and environmental cases, managing to obtain, through the application of the House Plan, the demolition in the agricultural area of a listed grade 3 building and the displacement of the volume. The pre-existing buildings consisted of a large, very compromised rural building. The main body of the villa emerged from the demolition and reconstruction, with a single-storey asymmetrical courtyard system, with a large swimming pool completing one of the sides.
The project starts from constant dialogue with the garden characterized by suggestive views and the definition of a system where the volumes and materials are those typical of traditional architecture, reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The definition of the plant represented a great challenge with respect to the urban / environmental limits to be respected and the pre-existing trees to be preserved, seeking adequate privacy through the careful location of the building on the edge of the hill owned and a high energy efficiency of the entire complex, at the top of the energy class (A4).
Finishes: All the finishes and furnishings are custom-made, tailor-made by GRASSI 1880 CAVE with obsessive attention to detail, to the search for products and finishes. The selected stones are those supplied and worked directly by GRASSI 1880 CAVE, owner of the quarries, from the Bianco Avorio stone to the Prun stone. The design of the park completes the architectural complex, the centuries-old trees have been carefully maintained while the new shrubs allow you to enjoy the large garden in all seasons.
