GRANITE
Granite is one of the most abundant rocks on the earth's surface; it is a felsic intrusive igneous rock with grit ranging from medium to coarse and occasionally can present megacrysts. Its name comes from the Latin Granum (grain), in clear reference to his crystalline. For its hardness and compactness is widely used as edging stones, for pavings, slabs for floor and wall coverings as well as for masonry stones.
